How does Asian Handicap betting work?
Asian Handicap betting markets are perfect for football bettors or traders looking for a different option to the more traditional Match Odds market. If you pick the selection Asian Handicap 0, your bet is the same as on a Draw No Bet market (stake refunded if there is a draw).
If you bet on Bayern Munich -1.5, you will expect Bayern Munich to win by 2 goals or more, otherwise you will lose your bet.
Bayern Munich -2 means your bet will be refunded if they win by exactly two goals. Therefore, you are expecting a very comfortable win, by a margin such as: 3-0, 4-0, 4-1, etc.
When you place a bet on selections such as +0.75, your stake is automatically divided equally and placed as two separate bets. It means that half of your stake is on the +0.5 handicap and the other half is on the +1.0 handicap.
If you bet on PSG +1.25, this handicap states that half of your bet goes on PSG to win or draw, with your bet refunded if PSG lose by exactly 1 goal; and the other half of your bet on PSG to win, draw, or lose by less than 1.5 goals.
If the final score is PSG - Bayern Munich: 0-1, half your bet will be refunded due to the draw, the second half will win. If PSG loses the match 0-2, you will lose the totality of your bet. Your bet will be paid in full in case of a draw, or if PSG manages to pull out the upset.
- Back Bayern Munich -1 goal @ 2.80 = 100 euros refunded
- Back Bayern Munich -1.25 goals @ 3.40 = 50 euros refunded / 50 euros lost
- Back Bayern Munich -0.75 goals @ 2.20 = 50 euros refunded / 60 euros won (50 * 1.20)
- Lay Bayern Munich -1.25 goals @ 3.40 = 50 euros refunded / 20.85 euros won
